It was a pleasure to attend the Technological University of the Shannon Research, Development & Innovation event this week – Impact Pathways for Enterprise & Innovation. Great to see firsthand the positive impact of TUS Research, TUS technology gateways and clusters on industry through innovation partnerships, contract research, innovation vouchers, and feasibility studies.

It was inspiring to connect with academic staff, PhD students, and post-doctoral researchers from the TUS Midwest and Midlands campuses, and hearing about how applied research is tackling real-world challenges across diverse industry and healthcare settings. The event highlighted the power of people, collaboration, and communication in research partnerships.
A standout moment for me was a quote from Amit Kumar Haldar, who encouraged everyone to reach out: “If you don’t earn, you’ll at least learn.” Wise words to keep in mind!
