Many job seekers think that in order to search for a new role it is enough to “update my CV”. This is certainly an important step (and one of these things that we can procrastinate about as part of human nature). In our experience the real key to CV Success lies in tailoring your CV to the specific role that you are applying to. This is what will give you the edge on other candidates and significantly increase your chances of securing an interview.
What does a typical CV Success Programme cover?
- Your Career Coach will review your CV in detail and provide feedback in a 1-1 session. We provide a 90 minute CV Review/ CV Feedback session via Microsoft Teams.
- Discuss your objectives in terms of your CV and type of roles that you are targeting.
- Your Career Coach will provide detailed feedback on each section of your CV and suggest amendments and enhancements on content, structure and formatting.
- We will demonstrate how to tailor your CV to a specific role. You can e-mail us a sample job ad prior to the session to be used as an example.
- If you have a Cover Letter we can also review this and send you a sample Cover Letter template.
- A list of all suggested amendments will be e-mailed to you following the session.
- You then carry out the suggested changes to your CV and e-mail it back to your Career Coach. We will review this and e-mail it back to you with any further comments/ suggestions on the CV document. Each client is welcome to e-mail as many updated drafts as they wish until such point that they are fully happy with their CV document.
